Customers cannot see invoices when paying online

From QuickBooks Desktop 2021, I'm sending some invoices by email with a link to pay online.  When the customer goes to pay online, they cannot view the invoice.  It says, "Invoice Unavailable" and "Invoice temporarily unavailable. We appreciate your patience."

Let's make sure to fix the issue, @TroyWolbrink. You're in the right place for answers.

I appreciate you for attaching a screenshot. I have different troubleshooting steps to help fix the error Invoice Unavailable. I'll make sure that your customers can pay you without a moment's delay.

There's a possibility that the invoice link being corrupted. With this, I recommend that you send it back to your customer. Then let them re-open the new link and pay it.

If the error persists, I suggest you let your clients log into their accounts through an incognito window. Encountering this kind of error is usually the result of outdated or corrupted cache files in your web browser. By doing this, we can see if it's browser-related. You can use the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  •  Control Option (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

From there, let your customers re-access the invoice to verify if they can view it transparently. If it works, please allow them to return to their regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on their keyboard to clear the cache

Once done and the issue continues, please reach out to our Customer Care Team. They can review your account in a secure environment and send a ticket to our engineers for investigation. Our experts are available M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT. Make sure to contact them within the support hours to ensure a fast response.
