Customizing invoice template

Can the invoice template be customized.  Example I would like to put the customer's PO# on the invoice.  Is there a way to do that?

Thank you

Customizing invoice template

Yes, we can definitely do that, roseroscoe44.

We can edit the content of your invoice template in the Custom Form Styles page then add the P.O. Number field. I'll be delighted to walk you through the steps in customizing it:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Choose the appropriate template (you can refer to this link if you want to create a new one: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online).
  4. Click the Edit link in the ACTION column.
  5. Go to the Content tab.
  6. Click the Pencil icon on the header of the invoice.
  7. Under Display section, select + Custom field.
  8. Tick the P.O. Number option.
  9. When you're ready, hit Save.

You can follow these steps to set your updated custom template as the default invoice template:

  1. Go back to the Custom Form Styles window, then find your template.
  2. From the ACTION column, click the arrow icon.
  3. Select Make default.

We can also apply the template upon creating the invoice. Let me show you how:

  1. Click the + New icon.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. Click Customize at the bottom page.
  4. Select the appropriate template.

If you want to track all the invoices that are due on a particular day or date range, you can refer to this article in pulling up the report: Report of invoices that are due on a specific day.

I'm always here and ready to help if you have any other concerns or questions about customizing invoices. Don't think twice to tag me in the comment section.
