Join nowHi, I'm trying to back up my company file and Quickbooks is telling me that there is a problem with the data file.(Please reference attached picture) I'm not sure what to do as I am currently using the 2018 version, and it hasn't been backed up since 2021. I'm afraid that if I rebuild data that I will lose stuff. Can anyone deny or confirm this for me? All details will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

When doing the Verify process, the system can locate the issue, and you'll be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors. You can close the prompted message and correct the errors manually. You can follow the steps in this article to do this: Resolve Data Damage on your Company File. So, don't be afraid it can help resolve damaged list elements, and it will not lose your stuff.
If the Verify/Rebuild process is not working, you can update the QuickBooks to the latest release before proceeding to the next troubleshooting steps.

How big is your file size? You can duplicate your company file before running the Rebuild Data utility if required.
Hi, the size of the file is 82788K
Your file size shouldn't be a problem. Run Verify/Rebuild Data as recommended earlier.
