desktop 2024 and POS

Does anyone happen to know if desktop 2024 will still integrate with quickbooks POS.  I know POS is not longer, but it still works with our QB desktop 2023.  I just need it to connect for the end of day process for the guys times and sales for the day.  We dont use the POS for much more than that.  Which is why I still chose to roll with continuing to use it.

desktop 2024 and POS

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out here in the Community space, @bpoe1321. We'll provide updates about connecting QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to Point of Sale.

Yes. You can still integrate your QBDT 2024 into the POS and process sales. However, patches and new service updates won't be available. If you have time, feel free to visit this page to learn more about the changes: QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale discontinuation. Before integrating the two programs, we recommend reviewing the desktop's current setup, and it meets the requirements needed by the POS program. Here's how:

  1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
  2. On the left pane, choose Integrated Applications then go to the Company Preferences tab.
  3. From the Applications list, select QuickBooks Point of Sale then select Properties.
  4. In Access Rights tab, select the option Allow this application to read and modify this company file.
  5. Select OK in the Properties window, and in the Preferences window.
