Desktop Pro 2019 HELP menu not working

Hello all and thanks for any advice in advance. I installed Quickbook desktop Pro 2019 and everything was working fine until a few days ago and the Help menu stopped working. Usually it opens a pane on the right side of the program, but now nothing happens when you click on "Help" from the pulldown menu. I did install a new printer recently but that's the only change to the system unless one of the windows updates messed something up.

Desktop Pro 2019 HELP menu not working

This is a reported issue, RustyN. Our engineers are already working for a fix.

In the meantime, you can try these steps as a workaround:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Delete QBW.ini. You can find this in the following locations:
    • C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks[Version] where [Version] is your version of QuickBooks Desktop.
    • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks [Version] where [Version] is your version of QuickBooks
  3. Reset internet Explorer Settings including Personal Settings.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Open QuickBooks, then press F1 on your keyboard to open the Help window.

If you're still encountering the same issue, I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. We're taking notes of the users who are affected by the issue. Here's how:

  1. Visit our website.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Click Continue as a guest.
  4. Select your QuickBooks Desktop version.
  5. On the Contact Us page, click Solving Issues & Error Messages, then click Common Errors.
  6. Click Start a Message
