Did QuickBooks legitimately remove the ability to resize columns?

I must be going crazy, because I can no longer resize my columns when entering an expense (or any other transaction). I'm attaching a screenshot. And, please, do not tell me to resize my screen because I did that, and a) it doesn't work, and b) I can't see much smaller than the 80% screenshot I'm already providing.

Please notice that I cannot see the category... it's completely cut off. I can't resize the column either.

I'm at my absolute wits end here. I am SO close to just firing the remaining 3 clients I have and quitting my main job so I don't have to work with QuickBooks anymore. It is quite literally the main source of my stress when working, not even the work itself. My heart rate goes up every single time I have to work because of this cloud based platform. I swear, I wish I could go back years ago and tell myself not to switch to Online.

Did QuickBooks legitimately remove the ability to resize columns?

Hello there, Please_Stop_The_Modern_View.

Let's turn around your worries on finding a solution to your problem by resizing your columns to be able to see your chosen category on the transaction you created.

Considering that you are already on your Expense page or any transaction page, we can fully see your category names by hovering your Arrow icon on the line between the Category and Description and then dragging it to the left and right to adjust the column box.

I am leaving you these articles that discuss various things you can do with your expenses in QBO:

Did QuickBooks legitimately remove the ability to resize columns?

I was having this same issue today, it worked perfectly fine last week! I took the suggestion I saw on another post. Clearing my cache and browsing history resolved the issue. I can now resize my columns again. I hope this helps!

Did QuickBooks legitimately remove the ability to resize columns?

I'm having the same issue.  Even if I resize them they change back when I leave the screen and then go back into another bill/expense.  It's crazy that QBO can't leave things alone and all this modernization is killing my workflow.
I also cannot leave the vendor bill or expense screen by save & close.  I have to close the entire tab to get out of it.  All of this started a couple of weeks ago and nothing helps.

YES I DID THE FOLLOWING:

  • clear cache/cookies
  • restart
  • clear history

all the things that software providers say to do have been done

None of this helps and I'm wasting tons of time trying to get things done.
