Disable sales price updates not working

I am running Enterprise. I want to turn off the automatic sales price update when our cost is updated. I've selected "never update sales price" in Automatic Cost and Price Updates, but the price still changes.

Hello there, @ckennedy1. We can perform a few steps to resolve this right away.

 

Selecting the Never update sales price option would prevent the price changes when updating the cost. QuickBooks perform based on the selection in the Automatic Cost & Price Updates window.

 

We can double check and ensure the When BOM cost changes, update sales price box is also not ticked. Then, make sure to click OK to reflect the changes in the system. 

 

If the same thing happens, make sure to download the latest product updates to ensure you have the most recent update of QuickBooks. Once done, run the Verify and Rebuild Data within your company file to fix your current issue. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Click Verify Data. Then, select OK to close all windows.
  4. Then, go back to the File menu.
  5. Select Rebuild Data under Utilities.
  6. QuickBooks will ask to make a backup before rebuilding your company file.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Once the rebuild is done, click OK.
