Emailing invoices

If you use QB desktop to email invoices to customers, you need to look at the email format QB is sending now. Check your sent folder and look at what they are sending now.   I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get the old template back (November 2025 version) back with no luck.  BEWARE!  Screenshots of old template and new are attached.

Anyone find a work around for this disaster?

Emailing invoices

Hi there, Kimterry1.

Thank you for reaching out about the changes to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) invoice email format.

The new header and footer messages in invoice emails are part of recent automatic updates from QBDT. These default messages are applied system-wide and appear in all invoice emails.

I understand this change may affect your communication preferences. QuickBooks allows you to customize both the email subject line and body message. For detailed steps, you can refer to this article: Create custom email templates in QuickBooks Desktop.

If there's anything else you'd like to do regarding your invoices, let us know.

So there's no way to revert to the old header?  Or to customize the text?  I agree with the OP that this format and content is terrible.

Thanks for joining this thread, tpieretti.

I can certainly understand how an ability to revert to the old invoice email header could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, then Send Feedback Online.
  2. Choose Product Suggestion.
  3. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  4. Select Send Feedback.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates page.

For customizing invoice templates, you can verify what can and can't be customized by following the steps in our Use & customize form templates article.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
