Buy nowWe have been on QB Enterprise with enhanced payroll for about two years and we have about 100 ees. We have consistently had delays when switching to different windows in payroll. It takes about 30 secs to a minute...a window comes up with a header "Working" in the window it says Reading Transactions with a progress bar (screenshot attached). QB is set up on a server in which 3 computers access it over a network. This issue only occurs in payroll menus, no delays anywhere else. I tried using the Install Diagnostics tool on one of the computers but it did not help. Payroll functions fine but the delay when switching windows is quite frustrating. I appreciate any suggestions.

If you have issues with the performance of your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), your company file may be the root cause.
You've mentioned that you're using the product for about two years and have around 100 employees' data stored in the system.
QuickBooks' performance decreases as the size of the company file increases. This can be the reason why it takes a longer time to when switching to different windows in payroll.
However, you can optimize your server and workstations to minimize performance issues in QuickBooks.
First, make sure your computer system meets the system requirements for QBDT 2019.
If these specs are already met and still experience performance issues, you may want to increase your available RAM. To know the amount of RAM you need for QuickBooks, multiply the size of your file in GB, by the number of users in the network.
