A possible browser issue might have caused the error when creating or sending invoices in QuickBooks Online. I will give you some steps that can eliminate errors caused by browser issues when working in the program.
First, open an incognito/private browsing session or switch to a different browser. Here are some of keyboard shortcuts to initiate an incognito session:
Second, go back to your account and create or send an invoice again to check if you will not the receive the error again.
