Hello, @d-llantos-kultur.

I'd like to help you fix the error you encountered when managing your books.

This error occurs when you try to make changes to a transaction for a closed accounting period. In QuickBooks Online, the books can be set to automatically close at the end of the fiscal year, and once closed, transactions from that period cannot be modified. To resolve this issue, you can reopen the closed period and set an earlier closing date.

I'll show you how to do it:

  1. First, ensure that you sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin or company admin. Only admins can make these changes.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Click Edit ✎ in the Accounting section.
  5. Change the Closing date.
  6. Hit Save, then Done.

If the issue persists, we have an Intuit Developer forum where experts handle integrations, such as APIs, developments, and other related concerns. I suggest posting your situation on their platform, as they are the best gurus to help you with your concerns.
