Export problem to excel only when remoting into PC

I have a client running Quickbooks Enterprise 22. Its running on a server and all the users Remote Desktop (RDP) into the server from their desks.

Some users when home, use gotomypc to remote access their office desktops. then of course they can RDP to the server just like when they are work.

ONLY when they are using gotomy pc to access the work computer, when trying to export in QB to Excel get this error:

"Quickbooks cannot export to the excel file because the excel program was terminated outside of quickbooks"

Only when going through gotomypc but not when physically at their office desktop.

Not sure what gotomypc could be doing to confuse things, cant find any information about this error at all.

Let's ensure to update QuickBooks Desktop to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes.

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. From the Update Now tab, click Get Updates to start downloading.
  3. Once completed, click Close and then close QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.

 After that, let's toggle the Windows User Account Controls to reset anything that blocks the export feature. You can follow Step 4 in this article on how to fix export to Excel issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

Export problem to excel only when remoting into PC

Everything is up to date. This problem is strange because it only occurs when remoted in with gotomypc. So seems to have something to do with that.
