Feature Request - Allow Product and Services Selection when Adding Bank Transaction

Hello,

I'm currently working on syncing up our CoConstruct page with our QuickBooks transactions. CoConstruct leverages the Product and Services Codes to align actual costs from QuickBooks with estimated costs in CoConstruct. Unfortunately, QuickBooks only allows the user to select a Category when adding a bank transaction on the Banking page. We then need to go to each expense separately to add a Product and Services line item and delete the Category line item. I'd like to request the option to add Product and Services as a drop down option when adding a bank transaction. I've attached a photo that has two screenshots: one of the bank transaction without a Product and Services dropdown and one of the expense where we have to go to add a product and services line item. Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Mike

Feature Request - Allow Product and Services Selection when Adding Bank Transaction

Hi @mike_coastalremodels,

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can help you send a request to make improvements to QuickBooks Online's capability.

I know it would be beneficial to have the ability to include products and services in Banking. It'll help users save time by not going through each expense manually.

Since this feature is unavailable, I suggest sending feedback directly to our product engineers. They might consider adding the option you need in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Hit Next to submit.

I've also attached an article you can use to resolve bank errors, as well as how to update your bank info in QuickBooks: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Keep us posted if you need anything else regarding the Banking features in QBO. Have a great day.

Thanks for sending your feedback, Mike. That will definitely reach our product development team.

I'm happy to share with you the website where you can find similar suggestions, and you can also vote on other ideas you like. Just visit the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests page, and using keywords, you can search for ideas like yours. However, I haven’t seen anything similar to it at the moment.

If you have other concerns, feel free to go back to this thread. Take care and have a great weekend!
