FedEx Shipping Through QuickBooks

Greetings & Happy Holidays!

We're trying to ship FedEx through QuickBooks.  We found that when we select Ground, it automatically gets switched to Home delivery.  Since we are shipping to a home address this makes sense.  However, the way our account is setup, if we choose Ground instead of Home delivery, the cost is about $7.50 less per package.  Has anyone experienced the system not switching your selection from Ground to Home delivery through QuickBooks/FedEx?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, Dytrt.

I recognize the importance of being able to select the correct option when shipping packages.

We’ll have to identify the root cause of why the system doesn’t switch from Ground to Home delivery. The process requires us to collate personal data to access your account.

We always maintain the safety of our customers’ information. That said, I recommend you get in touch with our Technical Support Team.

They can perform in-depth troubleshooting steps in a secure space. Also, our specialists will guide you on how to apply the permanent fix.

Here’s how to contact them:

  1. Tap the Help icon at the top menu bar to select QuickBooks Desktop Help F1.
  2. In the Have a Question window, scroll down to choose the Contact us link.
  3. This will display the Contact Us screen.
  4. Navigate to Tell us more about your question section to enter the issue or topic in the field box.
  5. Press the Search button to display the Get Phone Number or Start a Message button.

Let me share these resources for future reference. From there, you’ll find information on how the Shipping Manager helps in processing shipments and labels:

Feel free to visit the Community again if you have any other QuickBooks concerns. I’ll be around to assist further. Wishing your business continued success and Happy Holidays too.

Thank you for the update, @Dytrt.

I want to make sure your concern is taken care of a quickly as possible.

To get started, you can refresh FedEx Shipping Manager or redo its setup. Then, recreate the shipment to isolate the issue.

  1. Select a FedEx Service. The shipping manager allows you to select the FedEx Express or FedEx Ground service you need.
  2. Enter shipment details.
  3. Enter the information requested.
  4. Check the rate.
  5. Click on the “Estimate Cost” link to request a rate quote before creating the label.
  6. Print your label.

If the same thing happens, I would recommend getting in touch with FedEx Support. This way, a representative can check this further and set up the correct delivery method.
