Let's either rename the file or move it to a different folder to fix the issue. Follow these steps:
- Open the New Finder window and browse to where your company file is located.
- Select your company file.
- Go to the File menu and choose Rename.
- Enter a new name, then hit OK.
Once done, try opening the company file again. If you continue to get the same result, I recommend changing its location.
Here's how:
- Open the New Finder window and browse to where your company file is located.
- Select it, then got to Edit and choose Copy.
- Move the file to another folder, then follow the second step except choose Paste instead of Copy.
Right after, open QuickBooks to test the solution. Browse to the new location, select the company and choose Open. You can delete it from the original location after the issue is resolved.
