There are multiple approaches you can take to reset your pin within the system, vistam. I will elaborate on these methods in detail below to guide you through the process.
Before we proceed, could you please confirm if you are referring to resetting the PIN used for processing direct deposits in QuickBooks Payroll? If so, make sure that you have the Admin password for your QuickBooks company file, as this is required to reset your payroll service PIN within the Send Payroll Data window.
Also, please note that the new PIN must be between 8 to 12 characters long and include at least one letter and one number. Special characters are not permitted.
To do so, please see the steps below:
On the other hand, if you remember your current PIN but do not have admin access and want to change it, please proceed with Method 2.
Alternatively, if you can’t remember your PIN or are unable to change it in QuickBooks, you'll need to download and complete the Direct Deposit PIN reset form. After completing the form, refer to Method 3 for detailed instructions.
For your future reference, you may find it helpful to read this article that outlines when and how to initiate a direct deposit reversal: Reverse a direct deposit in QuickBooks Payroll.
