Getting an error message everytime I try to connect my HSBC BANK USA card to Quickbooks. I checked and username and password are correct, not sure what the problem is?

This issue with the HSBC Bank USA account has been escalated to our banking team, tylerstubbs20.

Checking your bank's login credentials is a good start as the error indicates an issue with them. You can try to log in to your bank's website using the same credentials. If you're able to access it there and not in QBO, then you can use Web Connect files to import your transactions in the meantime.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your bank's website outside of QBO.
  2. Select the date range of the transactions you want to import.
  3. Select a supported file type (QBO, OFX, QFX, CSV).
  4. Download the file to your computer.
  5. Log in to your QBO account.
  6. Go to the Banking page, and then click the Upload button.
  7. Browse your computer for the bank file you saved, and then select it to be imported into QBO.

While we're working on getting this issue fixed, please give us a call. We'll add your company details to our notification list so you'll be updated once a permanent fix is available. To get our contact number, click the Help (question mark) icon in the upper right-hand corner of your QBO Dashboard and select Contact Us.

I appreciate your patience while we're working on this. Don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything else.
