Going back to 2019 version of Quickbooks after using the OnlineVersion for 2 years

I no longer need Quickbooks On-line.  I would like to go back to my 2019 version of Quickbooks.  But, it still has my bank balances from 2022.  How do I start inputting info for 2024?

Do you need to convert data from your old QBO account to QB Desktop or just need to start from scratch creating a new company file?

I exported my data from the on-line version but couldn't import into Desktop because I don't have Excel.  I can't figure out how to convert the Excel documents to a format I have on my laptop.

Maybe starting from scratch will be the way to go.

  3. Once downloaded, launch it to install and select Next.
  4. Read and accept the terms in the license agreement. Then, tap Next.
  5. Choose Install, then click Finish.

Once done, follow Steps 2-4 of this article for the detailed process to continue exporting your data: Move data from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop. This resource also tackles what data to check after the process and what troubleshooting steps to do if the reports don't match.
