Group Items

I’m glad to share information with you about modifying group items in QuickBooks, @DLeblond.

After you create an item, you can edit information about it at any time. If you want to make some changes, you don’t need to redo the entire group. QuickBooks provides options to meet your business needs.

You can follow the outlined steps below to edit group items in QuickBooks Desktop:

1. Select the Lists menu, choose Item List.
2. Locate and select the group you want to update.
3. Right-click, then click Edit Item.
4. Make changes and then press OK once done.
   

Please know that this process can be done per group. That means you need to edit each group to apply the changes in the program.

I tried your suggestion, but doing that is very not user friendly.  The box to edit is extremely small and if I want to add an item, it goes to the bottom.  After that, I am unable to move it up to where I would like it in the list.  I have many grouped items of 20 or more items in each group, but am only able to see a few lines at a time.  This makes any kind of editing difficult to impossible.
