Has anyone used QuickBook POS in a bar?

There isn't anyone using QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) in a bar. This is because the available industry types for the software are related to: 

• Apparel and Accessories
• Small Retail Business
• Sporting Goods & Bicycles
• Furniture & Furnishings
• Home Improvement

For more details on each industry type, go to this website: POS. Then, click Industry between the POS Overview and Software tabs as seen in the screenshot below. 

It's a great idea to add "bar" as one of the options of the program's business types. With this, I'll take note of your valued suggestion and submit this to our product developers. This way, they can evaluate and consider it for future releases.

Are you using QuickBooks Desktop? There are a few POS solution for bar and restaurant available in the market.

It is for a standard retail store. It does not handle bars.
