held receipts

Hi there, I am using Quickbooks desktop point of sale 18 pro level, and i'm wondering if the inventory shown in the (held receipts list) is in the system as sold items or as items in stock [to go there>from home page you click on make a sale on the left menu and then at the bottom right you can see the (held receipts) button] 
also another question in my system there is no option for dropping or picking up cash at the end of the shift or at the end of the day _if it's in the system- where can i find it, -if i need to add it-how and where can i add it.

any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the Community. I am here to help you sort this out. Held Receipt is not the final sale this is not sold items. You need to record them, as sales receipts. Then you need to click the end of the day to record the sales for the day. Let me guide you how: 

 

 

  1. From the I want to drop-down. select End of Day
  2. Check all applicable actions that you want to perform:
  • Run End of Day Report
  • Back up your company data
  • Send data to remote stores
  • Exchange data with QuickBooks 

       3. Click Start and wait for the process to finish.
