I'd be glad to provide steps on how you can do this, bijumathews.

You can easily record and track billable expenses, so your customer can reimburse them when they receive their invoice. Here's how to enable the option:

  1. Go to the Gear Account and Settings.
  2. On the left panel, click the Expenses tab.
  3. From the Bills and expenses section, turn on the Show Items table on expense and purchase formsTrack expenses and items by customer, and Make expenses and items billable.
  4. (Optional) You can set up the Markup rateBillable expense tracking, and Sales tax charge.
  5. Choose the Default bill payment terms from the drop-down menu.
  6. Hit Save and then Done.

Please see this sample screenshot for a visual guide:

Once done, follow Step 2 in this article on how to bill a customer for an expense: Enter billable expenses.

I'm always around if you need more help with QuickBooks Online. Have a great day!
