How adjust line order on a quote Used to simply grab the line and move it , Now some imbecile has changed it

Hello there, @dsnash. I also like that option since it lets me adjust the order of my items on quotes and other sales forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO) easily.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps so you can utilize the line order option again and adjust or grab your items to move and change their arrangement on your quotes. This way, you can manage your transactions accordingly.

In QBO, you can adjust the line order of items on quotes and all other sales transactions by simply clicking (long press) the Order (square of dots) next to the number line and moving it up or down. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.

Based on your description of the issue above, I can tell that you have corrupted or damaged webpage data. This can cause display issues and feature errors on your transactions in QBO. To fix this, you can perform some troubleshooting steps.

You can start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go to the + New button and create a quote.

If it works, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

Once you're ready to bill your customers, convert your quotes to invoices. Please feel free to visit this article for the detailed steps: Create and send estimates in QuickBooks Online

Also, QuickBooks is giving quotes (estimates) and invoices a make-over. If you wish to learn how they can help you land jobs, keep work moving, and get paid faster, you can visit this article: See what's new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep me posted on how it goes in the comments below. If you have other concerns about managing sales and income transactions in QBO. I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @dsnash
