Greetings, @paul82.
Let me share some information on how to add your customer's name in the estimate.
When you create an estimate, you'd want to make sure to include the customer's name. This way, your client's name will display once they view the estimate.
You can also set QuickBooks to use your customer's name in the email greetings. Here's how:

Thanks for the reply but thats not the issue.
What I need to achieve is this:
When you send an estimate and you have your email sorted, above the Body it shows the Subject line "Estimate 2254 from Compnay name".
What I needed to do is add a reference to the end of this to read for example "Estimate 2254 from Company name_SMITH".
This works well as it appears in the email subject when my customer recieves it BUT the attached PDF estiamte with the same name "Estimate 2254 from Compnay name" omits the "SMITH" text.
My customer has requested that we add his customer names to the PDF estimate, so he doesnt have to open several looking for the SMITH estimate, for example.
I thought it worked but the PDF name doesnt change, ive tried adding underscore or hyphens but i doesnt work.
Any Ideas?
Good Afternoon, @paul82.
Thanks for reaching back out to the QuickBooks Community. I can see how your business can benefit from this feature, but at this time, there isn't a way to add a customer's name to the PDF estimate. However, you can manually save the PDF and then add it to an email yourself.
I'll send feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this in one of the upcoming releases. You can always check out our QuickBooks Blog to see what's new in the product.
Read more about estimates through this helpful guide.
Let me know if you have any other concerns. I'm only a comment away. Have a splendid day!
Ok, many thanks, I did want to avoid manually adding.
best regards
paul
