How can I migrate my information to from QB Self-Start (Online) to QB Self-Employed?

If I were to cancel QB Self-Start and upgrade to QB Self-Employed, is it possible to migrate my information to Self-Employed without having to start the process all over?

How can I migrate my information to from QB Self-Start (Online) to QB Self-Employed?

Hello there, Nana05.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Allow me to help and provide some insights about migrating information to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Are you trying to convert data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QBSE? If so, there isn't a way to automatically convert the data automatically since QBSE is different from other types of QuickBooks products. What you can do is export the transactions from QBO and import it through .CSV File into QBSE.

You can check this article for the detailed steps on how to export list data in QBO

Once done, you can now import your .CSV file into QBSE. Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear Icon at the top.
  2. Choose Imports.
  3. Click Imports old transactions on the right for the account you want the transactions to belong to.
  4. Follow the instructions onscreen to finish importing your data.
  5. Select Import.

For additional reference you can check this article: Import transactions from other sources.

If you need further assistance with the steps, you can directly contact our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support through this link: How to Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support?.

Since there are some features in QBO that aren't available in QBSE, you can check these articles to know more about the limitations:

Please know that I'm just a post away if you have other questions about converting data from QBO to QBSE. Have a good one.
