How Can I run final Pay cheque in qbo?

I was trying to run final pay cheque for one of my employee but there is no option for final pay cheque. If I run regular payroll, change his employment status and try to issue ROE then there is error in Colum 12 and says: These blocks have missing or invalid info. You won't be able to download the ROE BLK file until it's resolved: Block 12 If someone can help me step by step in this, that would be appreciated.

How Can I run final Pay cheque in qbo?

Let me help you run a final paycheck in QuickBooks Online (QBO), KKS20.

When an employee no longer works for you, you need to give them their final paycheck to cover their remaining wages. We can create a scheduled or unscheduled final paycheck. For Unscheduled Payroll, just follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and select the Employees tab.
  2. Tap the dropdown and then one of the following: Bonus only, Commission only, or Fringe benefits if you already selected one of these as the pay type.
  3. Click As net pay if you know the exact amount you need to pay the employee. Otherwise, choose As gross pay.
  4. Enter any additional info about taxes or paycheck calculations.
  5. Select the bank account you use in QuickBooks to track this type of payroll transaction. Also, review the pay period and pay date.
  6. Select the employees you want to pay.
  7. Enter their hours, compensation, memos, or any other necessary paycheck info.
  8. Under Pay Method for each employee, select the link to choose a paper or direct deposit paycheck.
  9. Hit Preview payroll.
  10. Tap Preview payroll details to review the details. Then select Save for later or Submit payroll.
  11. When you're ready, press Finish Payroll.

Once you create the employee’s final paycheck, update their employee status. This removes them from your active employee list so you don’t get billed for them anymore. For Scheduled Payroll, just follow the steps and details in the Create final paychecks for terminated employees article.

If you need to submit an ROE to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), check out the Create a Record of Employment (ROE) article to learn more about this one. You can also visit the When and How to File a Record of Employment link for more details about ROE.

Feel free to visit our Payroll page for more insights about managing your Payroll in the program.

I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you, please let me know how it goes or if you have any other issues or concerns. Just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you. Take care always.
