How do I delete a received payment to an invoice on QBO?

I had an invoice with a received payment attached to it. I have voided the invoice as I want to record it as a sales receipt instead. How do I now delete the unapplied payment? Thanks

How do I delete a received payment to an invoice on QBO?

Hello there, GW2000.

I've got the steps on how you can delete the invoice payment.

You can do it by going to the customer's profile. Let me walk you through the steps:

  1. From the Sales tab, select Customers.
  2. Select the customer's name.
  3. On the Transaction List tab, select the invoice payment.
  4. Click More and then Delete.

From there, you can recreate the item as a sales receipt.

I've added this article as your guide: Create and send sales receipts.

Keep me posted whenever you have other customer-related transactions. I'll be here to help you out.
