how do I delete a sales order

To begin, please know that the sales order feature of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is now also available in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

However, since the option to delete a sales order transaction is not accessible, we can utilize the Verify and Rebuild Data tool to take a closer look at your company file. 

Before we begin, please create a backup of your company file to avoid potential data loss. Next, let’s verify your company data:

1. Proceed to the Window tab, then Close All.
2. Click on File and select Utilities.
3. Choose Verify Data. Hit OK.

Now, follow these steps to rebuild your company data:

1. Go to the File menu, then choose Utilities.
2. Select Rebuild Data. QuickBooks will prompt you to do a backup before rebuilding your company file. Pick OK.

3. When the Rebuild has completed message appears, hit OK.

On the other hand, if you use QBO, please know that the option to delete a sales order is currently unavailable. However, you can opt to Cancel order or Close order if it has been fulfilled, which will mark it as Shipped.
