If your 1099 forms were rejected by the IRS, you can still fix them and resubmit the corrected forms. However, if the 1099 form has already been filed and accepted by the IRS, then you must file an amendment to correct any errors.
In addition, you can submit amended 1099 forms via QuickBooks Online (QBO). Although QuickBooks has not provided official instructions yet, you can check back at a later time. As per the in-product notification, it will be available in early February.

Hello, Thank you for the reply. The information link you provided takes me to another site for what I need to do that is not QuickBooks to make a corrected 1099 that as been accepted by IRS. Do you know the date Quickbooks will allow this function in "early February" so I can change a misspelled name on one 1099, a double name printing on 5 1099 forms, and add a company name to another 1099 form that has been accepted by IRS?
Thanks for getting back into this thread, Cwhite. I'll share some details about when the amending option will be available in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I understand the urgency of sending your amendment 1099 forms to the IRS within the QBO program. However, we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for when this option will be available. Rest assured, we are working hard to implement this feature as soon as possible.
Please know that when this becomes available, the article correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks will automatically be updated and will include steps on how you can proceed with the process. That said, I recommend visiting the article from time to time.
