How do I save modifications to the Invoice Template in QB Premier?

Thanks for asking us here in the Community, @rlhogg. To save your changes on the invoice template in QuickBooks Premier, you'll need to click OK again in the basic customization pop-up.

Then, click the ESC key to go back to the Invoice creation screen. You can now be able to choose the template you created from the TEMPLATE drop-down list

Yes, thanks, I have been able to make it work. But I have to specifically request that it be this modified template every time I create a new sale. I don't understand why it does not become the preferred choice--why it does not get memorized.

Let me share some information about invoice templates work.

Please know that QuickBooks Desktop has a sticky mode feature. Once you select a particular template and save the invoice, the program will remember the last template used and automatically apply it to the next transaction.

However, if QuickBooks is still unable to memorize it after saving several invoices, you may have a damaged template. To fix this, you can run the Verify and Rebuild utilities. This will scan your entire company file for potential data integrity issues that are causing this unusual behavior and fix them right away.
