Please know that QuickBooks Desktop has a sticky mode feature. Once you select a particular template and save the invoice, the program will remember the last template used and automatically apply it to the next transaction.

However, if QuickBooks is still unable to memorize it after saving several invoices, you may have a damaged template. To fix this, you can run the Verify and Rebuild utilities. This will scan your entire company file for potential data integrity issues that are causing this unusual behavior and fix them right away.
