You have a way to edit the contractor's greyed-out email address by modifying it in the vendor's profile. Locate the customer and update their email address, then return to the contractor's personal details screen to confirm the changes.
An alternative way is to apply a trick and edit the email directly in the contractor's personal details screen. Here's how:
1. Open the Contractor's Personal Details window.
2. Enter a dummy Employee Identification Number (EIN) and Save.
3. Edit the email address to correct it. Then, correct the EIN and click Save again.
