How does a contractor access his 1099 online?

I'm a contractor and was told that my 1099 is available online.  Where do I go to access it?  In the help search, it appears there is a portal to do so but I can't find a link.  When i sign into QB, I go to the timesheet page where I can log hours and fill out my timesheet, but I don't see how to access my 1099 info.

You've come to the right place, @gr5.

You can access your 1099 form in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Let me guide you on how to do it.

When your client submits your final forms to the IRS, you'll receive an email invitation to view your 1099. Just click on the link in the email you'll receive and create a QuickBooks Self-Employed account. You can also login to your existing QuickBooks Self-Employed account and go to the Documents section to view and print your 1099. For more detailed instructions, you can check this article: 1099s in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

The QB Self Employed link isn't working...spinning wheel of death

Hey there, PLP2.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. I'd be glad to lend a hand so you can bypass that spinning wheel and access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.

In this case, I recommend clearing the browser cache as an initial troubleshooting step. The cache is used to collect frequently used data to make loading web pages quicker and easier. If the cache gets too full it can potentially cause viewing and performance errors. Clearing it forces the system to refresh and removes any roadblocks causing the page to not load. Here's how to get this done if you're using Chrome:

1. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
2. Select More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.
3. Change the time range to All Time.
4. Only check Cached images and files.
5. Click Clear data.

The following linked article provides similar steps for other browsers: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks

Additionally, if you're ever concerned the Self-Employed site is down, you can check this link for status updates: QuickBooks Status

With this info you'll be able to successfully access your account and get back to work in no time. Feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help.
