How may I assign a CLASS to more than one transaction?

@ad61  If you are referring to doing a bulk reclassification, you'll want to get in touch with someone who has an Accountant's version or role in QBO.

They have all the nice toys.

How may I assign a CLASS to more than one transaction?

If you have the Accountant and Advance version of QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can use the reclassify tool to save time and make the same change to multiple transactions at once, @ad61.  I'll share the steps that can guide you.

  1. Open your client’s QuickBooks Online company, then go to the Accountant Tools (briefcase) icon and select Reclassify Transactions.
  2. From the Account types drop-down menu, select Profit and Loss to see income and expense accounts. Or select Balance Sheet to see your asset, liability, and equity accounts.
  3. From the Account list, select the account with the transactions you want to change.
  4. Use these filters:
    • Type: Filter by transaction type.
    • Class: Filter by transactions under a Class or no class. If it’s not available, turn on class tracking.
    • Customer/vendor: Filter for a specific customer or vendor.
    • Modify: Filter by transactions that you can modify.
  5. Click Find Transactions.
  6. Choose the box for each transaction you want to change. Then pick Reclassify.
  7. Select a new account to move the transactions to or a new class from the drop-downs.
  8. When you’re ready, select Apply.

If you don't have an accountant version  you can follow FishingForAnswers to invite an accountant to perform the actions. Here's how: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, I've included an article about the maximum number of billable and accountant users you can add in QuickBooks. This helps you verify if how many users you can set up in your account: How many users can I set up?.
