I got the steps to help you get past this error message when sending invoices, Drewsplbg.
Beforehand, please note that QuickBooks Desktop 2014 is an unsupported version. This program may or may not work on Windows 10 and 11, and possible errors can occur.
To rectify this, let’s download the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This helps fix common errors if you can’t print, email, or save transactions as a PDF.
Before proceeding, make sure to back up your accounting data in QuickBooks Desktop. Doing so helps us restore it if problems occur.
Here's how to install the Tool Hub:
- Close QuickBooks.
- Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
- Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
- Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
- When the installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
From the Tool Hub, run the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. Here's how:
- In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
- Select QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. It will take about a minute to run.
- Attempt to print, email, or save as a PDF from QuickBooks Desktop again.
In case the issue persists, reboot your computer and then try sending invoices. If it still fails, let's try to reset your temp folder permissions. I'll show you how:
- Press the Windows key + R to open the RUN command.
- Type %TEMP% and press Enter.
- Right-click an empty area of the temp folder, and choose Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Ensure all user names and groups showing on the Security tab have Full Control.
- Once the permissions have been set to Full Control, save the transaction as a PDF again within QuickBooks.
