How to correct a W-2 that quickbooks sent out

The correction of your W-2 employees can be handled by our payroll support team. They can change your employee's W-2 from the workforce and help you set up payroll taxes.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Help menu.
2. Click Talk to a human.
3. Type your concern.
4. Click I still need a human.
5. Select Contact Us.
6. Choose either Messaging or Callback

To ensure that we address your concern, our representatives are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM every Saturday.

Simply check "void" on Copy A of the original form, the copy that's sent to the SSA. Then create a new W-2 with the correct information. Write "corrected" on the employee's copy of the new W-2 and give it to the person, and send the correct Copy A to the SSA. 2.
