How to prevent QB from entering useless notes on check memo

Greetings,

Quikbooks ( desktop 2021) keeps entering memos on ALL my transactions that are so useless and it drives me nuts. These memos are such as ACH, Deposit Processed, or ACH Withdrawal processed, regardless of whether the transaction is an ACH or not. These notes appear on every single check and I have to remove them one by one. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening? I am not able to find the setting that causes this.

Thank you!

How to prevent QB from entering useless notes on check memo

Hello there, @F18.

I can see unnecessary it is for your business for memos to generate automatically in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). However, modifying the check template is currently unavailable in QBDT. We're only allowed to select the style and alignment.

While this is currently available, I recommend sending a request for this feature to be available to our Product Engineers. To send feedback, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.
  2. Click Product Suggestion.
  3. Choose a feedback type and product area on the QuickBooks Feedback window.
  4. Enter your suggestion or feedback, name, and email address (optional).
  5. Click on Send Feedback Online.

Keep an out for an email message regarding any updates. Or you can visit this site to stay updated about the latest news and product releases: Firm of the future.

You can always go back to this thread or post a new question here in the Community if you've got additional questions about handling your checks in QBDT. It's always my pleasure to assist you further. Take care.

How to prevent QB from entering useless notes on check memo

Thank you for responding. The feature ( like so many others) is infuriating. I never requested for QuickBooks to automatically add completely useless and very annoying memos to all my transactions, and I can't imagine anyone else did. We all know a deposit is a deposit and a withdrawal is a withdrawal without this text making the screen look so busy.  Now I am advised to ran another lap and request to stop the feature, which clearly is useless to all people. I know full well that  my request will be fully ignored like all other requests all the customers make about annoying or down right crippling features, but I appreciate the response so I can stop looking on how to turn this very annoying feature off.

Thanks.
