How to restore 2016 qbb files to a current version of quickbooks

I'm here to help you restore QuickBooks 2016 file, MacDRC.

You'll need to update your QuickBooks Desktop company file to function with a newer version. Here's how:

  1. Log in as an administrator to Windows.
  2. Download the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop if you haven't previously.
  3. To install your updated version, follow these steps.

Then, continue with these steps:

  1. Open your original version of QuickBooks.
  2. Then open the company file you want to upgrade. Press F2 to open the Product Information window.
  3. Look in the File Information section. Note where you save your company file on your computer.
  4. Run the Rebuild Tool for your company file. This preps it for the upgrade.

When you open your company file in a newer version of QuickBooks, it prompts you to upgrade it. Keep in mind that after you upgrade QuickBooks, you won't be able to open your company file in the previous version. Please view the complete steps provided in this article Step 3: Upgrade your company file and Step 4: Update QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know how it goes. I'm always here if you need more assistance. Bye for now and take care always.
