When I look at Quickbooks, I can click on the "Receive Payment" button for an invoice. It shows me the invoice I clicked on and also any other outstanding invoices that the customer has. Is there a way to let the customer see that information when they click the Review & Pay Now button?

Thank you for reaching back out to us, xenaranda. I will be happy to help! There is an option to hide the balance forward and only show the invoice amount by editing your Custom Form Style. My colleague before mentioned these steps, but we will be making a slight change to the fourth step. Instead of marking the Show on invoice box, this should be unchecked. Here's a fresher how to do so:
Please let me know how this works out! If you have any questions, my team and I will be here to assist you! Take care and be safe.
Hi xenaranda!
I'm here to help you in receiving customer payments.
For the first question, it seems that you're referring to the total amount due of each invoice. If so, we can pull up the Open Invoices report that you can search on the Reports tab. This shows the unpaid invoices and statement charges, with totals for each customer. The Open balance column is where you can see the amount due for each invoice.
In regards to the second question, we can add the account summary to the invoice so your clients will be able to see the total outstanding balance. You can follow these steps:

What I mean is the template on the email.. like this how can I not see this one the total amount due? i just wanted to see the total for the invoice only.
Hi @xenaranda,
We want to help you with your questions about the invoice. However, we need more information about it to provide the right resolution and to get this sorted out promptly.
Can you share with me the amount due for that specific invoice? If you can send detailed screenshots of the customer's transaction list including the details of the specific invoice you're trying to send, It would help us provide a timely solution on this.
In the meantime, you can check the following articles for some links about adding and categorizing payments, as well as how to view invoices that are due on a specific date range in QuickBooks:
Please know that you're always welcome to post any questions you have in this space related to the invoices. Have a great day ahead.
You can see that I have a $499.00 invoice here:
But when I send this invoice this is what I see is this, the Total amount Due of $2,903.00. This is quite confusing to my customers. It's confusing because if they click to pay, they can only pay $499. It's not showing what else is due. Is there a way I cannot see the TOTAL amount Due $2,903
Hello there,@xenaranda.
Welcome to the Community. I'll help you with your concern about the invoice.
If you create and send an invoice, the balance due on the email and on the preview page should always match. Since different amounts are showing, I suggest deleting, and recreating the invoice. Then resend it to the customer. This way, we can isolate if the issue has something to do with that invoice only.
First, let me show you how to delete the $499 invoice:
Then, let's recreate and resend the invoice:
You can review this article: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online. You can maximize steps 2, 3, and 4 if you want to manage invoices.
Please let me know if I can be of any additional help. Stay safe and have a great rest of the week!
Not working. The total amount due is the total balance due of that particular customer. How can I only show the amount on the invoice $499.00

Hello, I have a 2021 quickbooks for Mac. The invoices I work with have multiple pages. The amount due is printing on all the pages. How do I make it so it only prints at the last page? Our clients are getting confused. Please let me know.
Hello, I've looked through all of the responses to questions along these lines, but I do not have the "content" bar available to me on the Desktop Mac. Are you able to guide me through how I could adjust the template to show the Balance Due ONLY on the last page of the invoice? Thank you! Mel
Thanks for following this thread, @mel2022. Allow me to share some information about customizing your templates in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac (QBDT Mac).
The Content bar shown above is only applicable in QuickBooks Online. In QBDT Mac, you can use the Layout Designer to pick the fields you want to display on your form:
Being able to print the balance due on the last page would be helpful as it helps avoid any confusion. I'll relay this message to our team in concern here on my end and add your vote for this one.
You can also share your thoughts and ideas about this matter through your account. Our product development team reviews all the feedback we receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers.

@LieraMarie_A - Hello, this does not solve the problem on Quickbooks for Mac. If I remove the balance from the invoice fields, from the footer, it will remove the balance due completely. All I need is for the actual balance due to show on the last page.
How can this be accomplished?
