I can't find my 1099

Hi there, rannveigmarta. I'd be pleased to help you locate your 1099 form.

For contractors (QuickBooks Self-Employed):

Once your employer or client submits your 1099-MISC to the IRS, you'll receive an email informing you that it's ready for download. To access it, you can click the link provided in the email to sign in to QBSE.

Here's how to view or print your 1099-MISC:

  1. Sign in to QBSE.
  2. Go to the Clients menu.
  3. Open the Tax Forms tab.

For more detailed information regarding the process, you can refer to this article: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

For employers (QuickBooks Online Payroll):

If you have Intuit file your forms for you, all forms will be available for viewing or printing approximately 35 days after the end of the quarter. Amended forms will be available once your case has been completed.

The steps to view and print your tax forms depend on whether you choose to e-file the form or print and file manually.

If you choose to e-file or have already e-filed your tax form through QBSE, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Taxes menu, then select Payroll Tax.
  2. Open the Filings tab.
  3. View your current tax forms in the ACTION NEEDED or COMING UP section. Or choose Resources, then Archived forms and filings for past forms.
  4. If available, select Preview to view forms not yet filed.

If you manually filed your tax form, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Taxes menu, then select Payroll Tax.
  2. Open the Filings tab.
  3. Choose Resources, then Archived forms and filings.
  4. Select the dropdown menu to filter the form type you want to view.
  5. Click the form name, then View.

For more detailed guidance on this process, you can visit this article: View your previously filed tax forms and payments.

In case you want to run reports to get your federal estimated quarterly tax payment and annual tax info, you can check out this article for guidance: Get quarterly and annual tax info from QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm still all ears if you have other concerns besides locating your 1099. Feel free to leave a reply to this thread. Stay safe!
