Let's update QuickBooks for Mac to the latest release. If you have QuickBooks Mac 2016, you can follow these steps: 

1. While on QuickBooks, select QuickBooks on the taskbar on top. Choose Check for QuickBooks Updates and update to the latest version.
2. When the update finishes, restart QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
3. Go to File and select Export > To QuickBooks Online.
4. After we successfully copy and import your data, we'll send you an email.
5. From the email, sign in to see your data.

Here are some things you should do after converting your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online to ensure a smooth migration.

Do you need to migrate data to QBO US version?

Open your QBD file and make sure your Total Targets < 350K prior to migrating it. Run the Condense Data utility to lower the size or purchase a 3rd party migration service.
