I deleted an invoice. Can I recover it?

There isn't a way to recover a deleted invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @mariniconstruction. However, you can copy the details from the deleted invoice and transfer them to a new one. We’ll provide more details below and walk you through the process to address your inquiry.

QBO has an Audit log function, which records every movement within the company file. That said, it captures your daily activities within the account. You can use this feature to access the deleted invoice and then copy it to a new one to recreate the entire deleted invoice transaction. Here’s how:

1. On the top right corner, click the Gear icon and select Audit log.
2. In the list, locate the deleted invoice. You can utilize the Users, Date Changed, and Events fields and treat it as a filter to easily navigate through your account activities.
3. Once you've found the deleted invoice, click View from the History column.
4. Review the details rom the deleted invoice.
5. When you're ready, click the Copy to new invoice button and select Confirm to recreate the transaction.
6. Once done, click Save or Review and Send.
