I efiled our 1099's with quickbooks back on January 18th. I am receiving concerned emails and phone calls because my contractors have not received their mailed copies.

When does quickbooks mail them?

Congratulations on e-filing your 1099 forms on January 18, cbruns-crownpoin. I understand the importance of sending out the mailed copies of your contractors timely, so let me inform you about the delay.

Please note that this delay has not affected the filing of the 1099 forms, so there won't be any penalties due to this issue. Rest assured that we're actively working with our partners to resolve this and get the forms printed and mailed as soon as possible.

Additionally, I'm unable to provide the 1099's estimated time of arrival. You may also consider factors like USPS service and weather conditions.

In the meantime, you can go to the Taxes menu and navigate to the 1099 filings tab to check its status. From there, you'll see the standing from the Recipient's copy section.

To make modifications, refer to this guide: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.

Let me know if you have more questions about managing contractors or their 1099s. I'll make sure to address them. Take care!

All of them state mailed and have been listed that way for quite some time. Why haven't they been received by my contractors? Do you have any proof that they were actually mailed? This is very concerning as this is our first year utilizing Quickbooks to efile and mail these (which is a paid service) and does not appear to have actually happened and as a result has caused me more work in answering questions and providing contractors downloaded copies of what I have available. I would be interested in exploring a refund for the service that to me looks to not have been done.
