Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community, info1130. You don't need to do a backup when using QuickBooks Online. How our system works is that whenever changes are being done in the program, it is automatically saved to two hard drives.
Not only that, for extra security and protection, we also use a third-party hard drive to save your data. Making that three hard drives in case anything happens to the other drives.
Also, every night automatic backups are done. So, there is no need to worry.
If you have any other questions or concerned, feel free to reach out to me. Know that you are welcomed here at any time. Take care.

I saw the response, does that apply to all versions of QB online???? I have Essentials, I did see that "backup and restore" was offered for Plus, Advance, etc. but not for my version.
Hello there, @just wondering.
Let me share some information about QuickBooks Online Backup.
QuickBooks Online automatically backs your data up, and there's no need to save it on a flash drive or on your computer. This applies to all versions of QuickBooks Online. I've got an article that provides more details about this: Do I need to back up my data with QuickBooks Online?.
If you wanted to save a report or list, you can export this data from QuickBooks Online. You can open this article for the steps: Export reports, lists, and more.
Please let me know if I can be of any additional assistance. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
