You can check the available features in every version to better see the product that fits for your business needs.
On the other hand, if the four branches of your company have different EINs, you’ll have to create a company file per branch to have the taxes recorded correctly. However, in this setup, viewing them in one dashboard is unavailable. That said, you’ll have to switch to every company file to check and manage them.

we run on pestcontrol and we have branches now , we plan to connect all company into single page dashboard
we are using quickbook 2012 or we should transfer to quickbook 2018 and develop for intergration
I would recommend each branch to keep managing their own company files. Then you can use a business intelligent app to combine reports from all files in a single dashboard. The potential problem is that you are using an outdated version of QB Desktop. You may consider purchasing a one-time license for QB Desktop 2021 to upgrade your version.
