I'm a fairly new user, and I need to add a new GL account. How do I do that?

Hello there, @oregondi.

 

I appreciate you allowing QuickBooks the opportunity to meet your business needs. I be would be happy to assist you with adding a new General Ledger Account in QuickBooks Online. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Click on the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select on the Chart of Accountsection.
  3. Click on New.
  4. Select an Account TypeDetail Type, and enter a Beginning Balance if there is one.
  5. Once finished, click Save and close.

With these instructions, you can create new ledger accounts whenever you need with ease.
