SUMMER SAVINGS 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends June 27
Buy nowWhen I try to create an invoice, I get a sign saying the invoice cannot be created and ask me to refresh the page and try again.
Same. And customer service says the issue is resolved. But I cannot work with invoices at all right now. I'm on Self-Employed
Let me help you get past the prompt message, so you can resume making your invoices, Sales304 and Olivia.
We've received similar reports about customers, receiving the "Invoice cannot be created, refresh the page and try again" error when creating invoices. To address this, I suggest performing basic troubleshooting steps, as excessive cache files could be causing the unexpected behavior you're experiencing in the program.
Start by opening your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account using a private or incognito window. Refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:
Then, attempt to create invoices again. If this fixes the problem, return to your default browser and clear its cache so the system can restart and start with a clean slate. Alternatively, you may use other supported browsers.
Additionally, I'll share this article to help you organize your income and expenses: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If you have further questions about managing invoices in QBSE, feel free to ask in the comments below. We're always here to assist.
Thank you for your response. However, I have preformed the troubleshooting, used different browers on desktop, and the iPhone app. I am still experiencing the problem on each platform.
On desktop, I receive the error message in the screen shot included in my last response. On the iPhone app when I try to edit an invoice I receive the message, "Something went wrong Please try again."
Another strange bug I noticed is the search function/bar for the invoices page is missing on the desktop version.
Actually, @CamelleT, if you check your Quickbooks Status page, it says it's still being investigated.
