A quick and easy way to resolve this is to reset your password. Here's how you can do it:

  1. In the QuickBooks Desktop Login window, click the I forgot my password hypertext.
  2. Fill out the information on the form that appears.  You’ll need the following:
    - QuickBooks License Number: You can press F2 from the login window to see your license number).
    - The Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and ZIP code you originally used when you purchased the product.
  3. Click OK, and you'll receive a code at the email address you registered in QuickBooks.
  4. Get the code from your email and enter it in QuickBooks. Then, it'll guide you through the process of creating the new password.
