A quick and easy way to resolve this is to reset your password. Here's how you can do it:

  1. In the QuickBooks Desktop Login window, click the I forgot my password hypertext.
  2. Fill out the information on the form that appears.  You’ll need the following:
    - QuickBooks License Number: You can press F2 from the login window to see your license number).
    - The Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and ZIP code you originally used when you purchased the product.
  3. Click OK, and you'll receive a code at the email address you registered in QuickBooks.
  4. Get the code from your email and enter it in QuickBooks. Then, it'll guide you through the process of creating the new password.

same problem and won't work thru putting in the info as stated I did verify the active account with the intuit website and product validation

Since you're still unable to access your company after following the fix above, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team. They can take a closer look at the issue using our tools and help you fix it. 

 

Additionally, there are various reasons why you're unable to open QuickBooks Desktop 2014. it can be a damaged installation or program files and compatibility issues with your Windows Operating System. 

 

At this time, this version only works with the following OS:

 

  • Windows 8, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows 7, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows Vista (SP1 or later), all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
  • Windows XP* (SP3 only), all editions including 64-bit, natively installed

 

Please note that QuickBooks 2014 is already an unsupported version. Thus, you can no longer update the maintenance release which is necessary to fix minor bugs that might have caused the issue.

Chat Support and ask Data Service to reset your password. Otherwise you have to purchase a 3rd party password removal service.
