Greetings, @information.

I can help you itemize purchases that were made on our Business credit card and associate it to a particular job.

You can create an expense transaction and go to the Item details section:

  1. Click the Plus icon.
  2. Choose Expense.
  3. Select the Business credit card.
  4. Add items on the Item details.
  5. Put a check mark on the Billable box.
  6. Add the Customer/Project.
  7. Click Save.

Next, you're ready to add the billable expense to an invoice:

  1. Click the Plus icon.
  2. Choose Invoice.
  3. Enter the customer name.
  4. An open billable expenses will populate on the right side of the screen.
  5. Select Add for the billable expense you like to include in the Invoice.
  6. Click Save.

For additional insights, please refer to this article: Enter billable expenses by job.

That's it. Keep me posted if you have follow up questions about billable expenses. I'm still here to help you more. Have a wonderful day!

Wish there was a way to preview these screenshots as a large popup.

I do not have The job/project category you describe.

Or Billable box

It's not the "Payment method"; it's the "Payment account"

Hello again, @information.

Thank you for getting back and providing extra details. Allow me to share some more information about the Billable option.

You must subscribe to our QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced product to use the Job/Project option. If you're using either of the services, please follow these steps to turn on Project:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Accounts and Settings.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Find the Projects section and select it to expand it.
  5. Check the Organize all job-related activity in one place box.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Click Done.

After enabling this feature, you're all set! You can already set up project and create billable transactions.

Please refer to the steps I provided and on the prior post. You can magnify your screen view to see the screenshots better.

Keep me posted again if there's anything else I can do for you. I'm always here to help you further.
