I received an email to download my 1099. I created an account and logged in, but I can't find the 1099. Where is it?

Before anything else, know that the 1099s can be found in the Forms tab. We'll gladly write down the steps to help you download your 1099s inside QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE):

1. Access your QuickBooks Self-Employed free account.
2. Go to the Client menu and select the Forms tab.
3. Print or download your 1099 from there.

Where is the client menu? I only see home, transactions, miles, taxes, reports, invoices, capital on the left hand side of the screen? And there is nothing called clients under the settings cog either.

Allow me to help and provide information to see the client menu in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

In a regular QBSE subscription, the client menu is not available. To access the client menu, you need to follow the email link that you received stating that your 1099 is ready to download. Once you reach the page, enter the credentials that you used to fill out your W-9 form and click on the clients menu to access it.
